    Essaouira 1 day

  • Enjoy a day trip to Essaouira, on the Moroccan coast. Visit the Medina, the beach and an association of Berber women producing argan oil.

    Description : Excursion Essaouira

The Medina of Essaouira, formerly named Mogador (name originating from the Phoenician word Migdol meaning a « small fortress »), is an outstanding example of a fortified town of the mid-eighteenth century, surrounded by a wall influenced by the Vauban model. Constructed according to the principles of contemporary European military architecture, in a North African context, in perfect harmony with the precepts of Arabo-Muslim architecture and town-planning, it has played a major role over the centuries as an international trading seaport, linking Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa with Europe and the rest of the world. The town is also an example of a multicultural centre as proven by the coexistence, since its foundation, of diverse ethnic groups, such as the Amazighs, Arabs, Africans, and Europeans as well as multiconfessional (Muslim, Christian and Jewish). Indissociable from the Medina, the Mogador archipelago comprises a large number of cultural and natural sites of Outstanding Universal Value. Its relatively late foundation in comparison to other medinas of North Africa was the work of the Alaouite Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah (1757-1790) who wished to make this small Atlantic town a royal port and chief Moroccan commercial centre open to the outside world. Known for a long time as the Port of Timbuktu, Essaouira became one of the major Atlantic commercial centres between Africa and Europe at the end of the 18th century and during the 19th century.
Essaouira is an exceptional example of a late-18th-century fortified town, built according to the principles of contemporary European military architecture in a North African context. Since its foundation, it has been a major international trading seaport, linking Morocco and its Saharan hinterland with Europe and the rest of the world.

    Tiout And Taroudant

  • Description : Excursion Tiout-Taroudant

The ancient red walled city of Taroudant is sometimes called “Little Marrakesh” but that description doesn’t do it justice. Hidden by magnificent red mud walls and the snowcapped peaks of the High Atlas beyond, Taroudant’s souk and squares have a mystical feeling. It is also a practical place and market town where Berbers trade the produce of the fertile Oued Souss plain. There are no unavoidable sites. Instead, the Medina is a place to stroll and linger. The two souqs is well worth a visit, more relaxed than Marrakech, but with an atmosphere of activity that is absent in Agadir. With the small little western Atlas explored, the Anti Atlas and the coast nearby, the city is a good base for trekking and activities. Just 65 km inside the airport of Al-Massira, it is a more atmospheric gathering point to / from the airport than Agadir.

Details : Excursion Tiout - Taroudant
Once installed in our mini bus or car, 86 km to go, the road is beautiful, the argan trees decorated with their goats give smile. The farms of orange trees and clementines all along the road.
At the arrival of the Taroudant also called the small Marrakech certainly for its large ramparts and its bubbling of mobylette, street peddlers, pedestrians, the craft souk located in the alleys of the city, the visit on foot to discover the charm Of the medina.
We will then continue to Tiout (30 km from Taroudant), a small town famous for its Kasbah and Oasis. You will have a traditional Moroccan tagine and couscous lunch in the top of the Kasbah (included) where there are superb views of the Oasis and surrounding countryside. After lunch, you may ride a donkey through the Oasis.
At 3h30, we will leave the village and return to your hotel in Agadir.
